On Thursday morning, we packed up the kids and went to Addie's first pediatrician appointment. It was very cold out this morning! So, we were sure to really bundle them up. Both Addie and Alex wore: a onesie, a sleeper, a bunting outfit over the top, socks, mittens (socks), and lots of blankets. At the appointment, our pediatrician was very pleased with the progress that Addie is making. She weighed 5 pounds 8 ounces and was 18 inches long. We weighed Alexander for fun, but we left his clothes on. With clothes, he weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces. Therefore, we think that he is around 7 1/2 pounds now! Wow! After our appointment, we had to go to the hospital lab for Addie's blood work as they are still monitoring her anemia condition. Her labs are increasing slightly each time, which is a good sign. But, her red blood cell count is still low and not in the normal range yet...... While we were at the hospital, we went to visit our primary nurse in the NICU, Joanne. She was very glad to see us! We can't wait to go back and visit again in 2 weeks! Both Addie and Alex will go back to the doctor in February for their shots and check up. Addie will also be having more lab work and a hip ultrasound in 2 weeks. We will keep you posted!
Daddy put the pack and play together. Addie and Alex enjoyed twin time in there today.
They always find a way to touch eachother or be really close. At one point, Addie had Alex's hand in her mouth....
