Fun Pictures of Addie and Alex
1) In Alabama, you do not get your license when you apply for it. So, we had to go and get mommy another AL license. WE WERE SMART! We found a place that you can go that is like top secret information around here. So, we did not have to wait long.
2) We went to daddy's office to visit some friends. Miss Peggy, Miss Gitti, and miss Cherie always enjoy seeing them. Don't worry Peggy, Addelynn will be better for you next time! Thanks to all of you for helping me feed them.
3) We went to KOHLS to help mommy find items for the Italian Themed Homemade Gourmet basket that she is making for the NICU fundraiser event.
4) We picked up daddy for lunch. Of course, you guessed it, Mexican!
Wouldn't you be tired? We were, but when we got home, we decided that it was not yet time to take a nap.....

Our Weekend
Mr. Alex! Sorry for the pink on his shirt. He happened to spit up his amoxil right before this picture. But, he is cute enough to disregard that little stain!
Can you say mess??????????? Little sister is quite the character in the Jumperoo!
Addie started on her back laying underneath this toy, but she moved herself around.....
We have been playing all day! We are ready for a nap!!!!!!!!!!!
Addelynn's Funny Video
Here is Addie jumping in the Jumperoo! She could spend hours in here! Just over the past week or so, she has started really jumping all the time. There is not a seatbelt in this thing! But, there should be as she can get this thing a moving!!!!!!!

Addie and Alex Update
Both Addie and Alex are still fighting colds. So, they have not wanted their picture taken and I have not had the time to even grab the camera.... Alex went back the doctor yesterday and has an ear infection, so he is on extra medicine! Poor little guy. Addie is just fighting the common cold. I hope to have more pictures to post this weekend!
* Reminder, if you are wishing to help Addie and Alex with their fundraiser, there are 15 more days... The link is on the side of our blog "Swim for Melissa". Thanks for all of your donations thus far!

Wednesday Update
Both of our kids have been fighting colds since the weekend. They are on a cough medicine and a cream for the breakout on their little faces. Addie seems to be fighting it just fine! She is just such a mess! Alex is having a harder time. I know that Alex is not feeling well when he is not able to lay down for a nap or bedtime without crying. He is also not sleeping through the night right now, which is definitely not his routine! Today, I am going to take Alex to have his ear checked. I want to be sure that this cold has not led him to an ear infection. I will keep you all posted!

Adorable Videos of Addie and Alex during feeding time
These are some videos from Sunday! Addie and Alex have come down with a cold. We took them to the doctor today. They are on a cough medicine and an ointment for their face. The breakout is from the slobber while they are teething. It will go away! Alex could possibly get an ear infection, but right now, it is just a cold. It is so hard to see them not feeling well. But, these videos can make you laugh! Here are their weights from today, Monday July 21st, 2008:
Alexander: 16 pounds 14 ounces
Addelynn: 13 pounds 3 ounces
When we go home in a few weeks to visit grandma and grandpa, we will have our 6 month check up with Dr. Kasper. We can't wait to see what he thinks of these little munchkins!
Here is Addelynn playing around during her feeding time.
She has discovered that she would like to try and feed herself.
What a mess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well, I am just impressed that she has figured
out how to hold the spoon and take it to her mouth! Yea Addie!
SORRY!!!!!!!!! Be sure to turn side ways for this video. Mommy could not figure out how to flip it, but it was way too CUTE to pass up!
Alex too has figured out how to move about in his high chair. He is quite the talker, these days... Imagine that!
Funny Little Sister, Addie!!!!!!!!

Thanks!!!!!!!!
Dale and I would like to say thank you very much for all of your generous donations towards Addelynn and Alexander's fundraising efforts for the NICU at Huntsville Hospital. Seven months ago today, our miracles, Addelynn and Alexander were born and admitted into the NICU at St. Johns Mercy Medical Center, St. Louis. Since then, we have made huge strides! It is now that our family is taking an active role in helping the lives of babies born in our new hometown, Huntsville, Alabama!
Words cannot explain how we felt 7 months ago today when we were informed that our babies would be arriving into the world, two months early. At this time, we were in the hands our our doctors and did whatever it took to get them here safely! We thank God and the staff at St. Johns Mercy for having the state of the art equiptment that allowed Alexander and Addelynn to reach for their fullest potential during the first few weeks of their life. As parents, we had to put our trust in those that know best! We consider ourselves very lucky to have been in this environment. It is such an amazing feeling and since of accomplishment to know that we are now in the process of helping babies in Huntsville, Alabama have this same opportunity!
Addelynn and Alexander's fundraiser webpage shares their story as well as information about the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Huntsville Hospital. Dale and I would like to say thank you to all of you that have prayed and to all of you that have donated. Addelynn and Alexander have 20 days left to raise money for the NICU. Please feel free to click the Swim for Melissa link on the right side of our blog to learn more about this life saving opportunity.
Thank You Again!!!!!!!

Sorry for the delay in the postings! We have been rather busy here of late. We are still trying to get settled into the new home. We are just about un-packed and organized. It takes forever! Addie and Alex are doing great! They have been meeting lots of new friends and enjoying Alabama.
Here are some of the things that we have doneand lately:
July 4, 2008: Spent time with our twin friends, Grant and Fiinn. They had us over for a BBQ and we enjoyed spending time with them and some other wonderful people.
* Making lots of trips to daddy's work to visit
* Walking the neighborhood in our new stroller
* Going to Target to stock up on diapers and wipes
* Our friends Kristen and Scott had their baby. Addie and Alex can't wait to meet their new playmate Andrew!
* Friends that mommy and daddy met on their honeymoon cruise, Sharon and Phil came to visit us from South Carolina. Thanks for the cute outfits and fun toys!
* On Saturday night, we went to a friends house where Addie and Alex had fun playing with Spencer. He is a cutie!

Grants Farm Trip: June 28th, 2008
Mommy shows Addie lots of animals along the way. Addie was a good nap taker while we were at the farm. Big surprise!
Addie and Alex and their Elephant Show balloon. We decided to get a picture as the balloon was too much to carry around the park. But, it will be saved, forever!
I know, I know... Addie was asleep, so Alex got to pet the chick.....

Our Friends: Playdate at Kristin's House
Alicia with her twins, Evan and Leah. How adorable! Evan and Leah were born on November 2nd, and were also considered full term. When they were born, mommy and daddy visited them in the hospital as mommy had an ultrasound almost twice a week!
Visit to St. Johns Mercy NICU and Dr. Jewell's Office
Meet Nurse Mary with Dr. Jewell's office. Mary was our ultrasound tech for the past 4 years. When we were trying to get pregnant and when we were pregnant with Addie and Alex she was always there to help us! Thanks Mary for all of your support and encouragement over the years! We miss you too!
Dr. Jewell holds Addie and Alex for the 1st time. Dr. Jewell has been my OB for the past 5 years. He is a very compassionate man with a big heart! We have been through a lot and could not have done it without his support. Thanks Dr. Jewell! When I was spending time in the ante partum unit, he was there all the time to check on me! Unfortunately, with my c-section being an emergency, he was unable to deliver the twins. But, it was wonderful getting to know his partner, Dr. Shaner.
Our Trip to Grandpa and Grandmas house: June 21st-30th
During our last visit, Addie and Alex could not really sit in the exersaucer without lots of support. However, they both did great this time! Here is "HAPPY ADDIE"
BUMBO Chair time. This was so funny! They were talking to eachother and playing with toes the whole time.
Mr. Alex trying to read his book, or have the book make it to his mouth. Yum!
Addie loves the musical frog!
