We are 12 Weeks Old Today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alex and Addie are getting so big! It is hard to believe that they are already 12 weeks old. Addie is totally out of preemie and newborn and is in 0-3 month clothes. Alex is almost out of 0-3 month clothes and moving on. I can't wait to go back to the doctor to see how much they weigh!
There is really nothing new to report. But, I do have some recent photos to share. Daddy is out of town this week, so mommy has been manning the fort. This weekend Alex and Addie will be staying with grandma and grandpa as mommy and daddy are traveling to find our new home in Alabama. We will keep you posted on what we find. We are hoping to find a really nice community to start our new family!

Last night, I had to get these outfits on the kids. These are newborn and are so snug. But, I thought that they are just so cute! These came from our twin friends Drew and Jake that live in Baltimore!!!!!!!! Thanks.... Can you tell which one is which? I am telling you that it will not be long as Addie is catching up..

Mr. Personality was not serious this evening. He wanted to show you his smile:)

Addie was starved and ready to eat. Therefore, it was hard to get her to smile...

Can you tell who this is? This is Addie! She is getting to be such a big girl!

Valerie came to visit the twins this past weekend!!!!!!!!

As of right now, that is all that is new! We are looking forward to having more visitiors before we move in May. Take care and we'll write more later!

Getting Bigger Everyday!

It has been a very busy week here at our house. Daddy was in town, so that was nice!
Mommy had a dentist appointment this week and also had to have a root canal on Thursday.
On Wednesday night, Daddy and Mommy took the kids out to dinner. Then, on Thursday night, mommy, daddy, uncle mike and cassie all went to Outback Steakhouse with the twins. Taking them anywhere is a challenge, but taking them to dinner, is not all that bad. They normally sleep the whole time! Here are some pictures from this week. Enjoy!

Mommy holds Addie and Alex after her root canal on Thursday....... It is hard to get them both to sit still at the same time.

Addie sits in the Bumbo Chair. She does a great job holding her head up. She is getting stronger everyday.

Addie is resting in the bumbo chair. We are planning on getting Alex his own bumbo this weekend.

Here is Alex and Addie during twin time on Thursday. This was hillarious.
Just when mommy thought that she could get something done, she was wrong!
I walked over to check on the two of them and they were kissing.... How funny! No matter how far apart you put them, they end up right next to eachother. I can't do this for a long period of time anymore as I am worried that they will suffocate eachother. But, it is just so cute!

Twin Time for Alex and Addie.

Here is the video that you will just LOVE!!!!!!!!! If you remember a few weeks ago, this was the other way around. Alex was taking Addie's pacifier during twin time. Well, today, Addie thought that it was time for payback........ Ha Ha Ha

March Post

Here are pictures from this week. On Tuesday, we had 4 inches of snow. But, this time we did not take Addie and Alex out in the snow. It is too cold!!!!!!
Here are some updates on the babies:
Addie: 7 pounds 8 ounces and 21 inches long
Alex: 9 pounds 14 ounces and was 22 inches long

Alex loves to sit in the bouncey seat! I am having a hard time fitting clothes that fit him. He is getting so big!!!! Who do you think that he looks like here?

Addie is taking all big girl bottles now. She is eating between 3-4 ounces every four hours still. But, she is growing and that is what matters...

Daddy wanted me to post this picture. This was taken from our back deck this morning.

Lots of Visitors

This past weekend, we had beautiful weather. Therefore, people were out and about. Lots of friends and family stopped by to visit Addie and Alex. At one time, I think that we had 6 visitors at a time! Here are some pictures from our visits...

Kami was brave this time and wanted to hold both Alex and Addie at the same time!!!
In these pictures you can really see how much weight they are putting on as well as length.

I had to get a picture of Addie in this sweater. I bought it a long time ago and absolutely love it!
Just when I thought that she would be able to wear it, it is already getting too small......

Alyssa, a friend of mommy and daddy stopped by this weekend. She enjoyed being able to spend time with the twins! She brougth the twins the cutest summer outfits and blankets. Thanks Alyssa!

Great Grandpa is back from Florida and could not believe how big Addie and Alex are getting. He still swears that Addie looks like him!

Alyssa spends time with Alex.

Last week of February Update

Sorry for the delay in posting. Things have been very busy around here!
Both babies are doing great! They are getting so big..... I cannot believe that the month of March is already here. Today, Addie and Alex are 11 weeks old. It is amzing how time flies. Below are some pictures from the last week of February. More pictures coming soon!

Here is Holly holding Alex and Addie. Holly was one of our primary nurses in the NICU. She
was great with our little ones during their stay at the hospital. Holly came for two nights the last week in February to help mommy and daddy out. Mommy and daddy were able to get a whole night sleep while she was here. It was nice! We enjoyed having her over and were glad that she was able to see the little ones.

Alex sits in the new bumbo chair. Yes, I know that it is purple. But, I got a really good deal on it. With twins, I am always looking for deals!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully here soon, he will get one in yellow, green or blue and Addie can use the purple one.

Addie is getting to be such a big girl! It is so cute to see her all dressed up!

Addie sits in the purple bumbo chair. I find it amazing that such a little girl is able to hold her head up so well.

Adventure Weekend For Addie and Alex

Here is our friend Tracee holding Addie for the first time. We had lots of visitors this weekend.
Addie and Alex have had a very busy weekend. Daddy came home from a business trip late Friday night. On Saturday, we all went out to dinner with some friends, Tracee, Todd, Allie, and Alicia. Allie and Alicia were students in one of my first grade classes that I taught. It was so much fun to be able to see them! Of course, we went to one of our favorite places, Carlos O'Kellys. While we all enjoyed takling and eating lots of chips and salsa, Addie and Alex slept. Allie and Alicia had fun holding the babies after dinner. They even got to help daddy change diapers. Oh boy! On Sunday, Addie and Alex spent some time at Grandma and Grandpas house while mommy and daddy did some errand running. Then, we went and visited mommy's friend Dana that just had a baby last month. Addie and Alex met their new friend Noah for the first time. He is super cute! On Monday, the twins will get their 2 month shots. Tonight, one of our primary nurses from the NICU is coming to visit Addie and Alex. We are looking forward to seeing her! Nurse Holly can't wait to see the babies as it has been 6 weeks since she last saw them.....

Here is Allie holding little Addie. Tonight was a big night for Allie. When, I was in the hospital Tracee and Allie came to visit. Allie was so sad that she could not see the babies. So, tonight she was even able to hold them. How fun! I will never forget the night that I told Tracee that we were expecting twins. When she told Allie, we about died laughing. Allie said, "mom, do you think that since she is having two that we can have one?"

Allie and Alicia have fun holding the twins!

Alicia enjoyed this moment with Alex as he was finally not so wiggly.
She could not believe how much moving around he did. Alicia did a great job holding such a big boy!

Alex and Addie get ready for their big night out on the town!

It was like pulling teeth to get a good picture of the two of them. When Alex was not falling asleep, Addie was crying. But, here again she is the life of the party, always awake!!!!!!!!!!

We are 9 Weeks Old!

Can you believe that we are 9 weeks old already? Wow, time does fly...
Well, both Addie and Alex were tested for RSV and thank goodness, both of their tests came back negative. So, we are just fighting the nasty common cold. On Monday, Addie also had lab work done to check how her blood count is doing. The not so good news was that her blood clotted and therefore, they were not able to test it. On Tuesday, mommy and great grandma loaded up the twins and went all the way back to the hospital for more lab work! Boy, it is a chore to get both of them ready to go... I was not leaving the hospital this time until I was sure that her blood sample would work. So, we had time to spare. We went to visit some of mommies nurses during this spare time.
Great news is that Addie's lab work came back much better than in previous weeks. Her red blood count is still on the low side. However, it is increasing, which is a good sign. Our pediatrician does not see a need to retest again unless we have more issues. Our next trip to the doctor is on Monday for a 2 month check-up and shots.
Here are some pictures from this week!

I am sure that I cannot trick you in this photo as Alex is much larger than Addie..
Alex is for sure out of all preemie and most of his newborn clothes. Addie is out of all preemie and into newborn clothes. I cannot believe how much they have grown in just a few days! Any ideas yet as to who they look like? It is so funny as one says that they look like mom and another says that they look like dad....

On Wednesday, mommy found a time and life saver! Both Addie and Alex can
be fed at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is no way that I thought that this would work, but I gave it a shot and sure enough, it did! I don't know that I will be able to feed them like this everytime, but we will for sure try. I placed both Addie and Alex sideways in their own boppy pillow and fed them. It worked like a charm!

Who is this???????????? Addie is ready to eat!

Here is Alex looking at himself through the glass on the fireplace.

Uncle Mike has a good time holding Addie and Alex. How did you guess that Addie is the one awake. I am telling you that she is the "life of the party"!
